What is The Book Stork?

The Book Stork is a subscription-based book service that delivers lovingly curated collections for your child straight to your door.

What will be in the package every month?

Each month your child will recieve two books that are age (or reading age, if the two differ) appropriate. One book will be the specific genre that you or your child has selected for the month (if a genre is selected) and the other will be lovingly chosen by The Book Stork team.

How old does my child need to be to subscribe?

The Book Stork caters to children from 0 - 12 years.

Can I buy the subscription as a gift?

Absolutely! The Book Stork is a fantastic birthday, baby shower or Christmas gift, or even just because! To ensure we know this is a present, simply select the 'This is a gift' option at checkout and fill out the details in the form.

How are the boxes priced?

A subscription to The Book Stork will cost $39 a month if you choose to pay monthly. However, if you choose to pay upfront for 3 months it will cost $37 a month.

How is the billing done?

Your credit card will be automatically charged on the day that you subscribe and then on the 26th of each subsequent month.

What payment methods are accepted?

We currently accept payment through all major credit cards.

When will my subscription be rebilled?

We will automatically renew your subscription on the 26th of every month. 

If you have subscribed to a 3 month subscription, this will automatically renew 3 months after you first subscribed, this will also be done on the 26th.

If you need to cancel your subscription, you will need to do this on or before the 25th.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is FREE!

When will the first box be shipped?

We ship our boxes by the 24th of every month. In the event that the 24th falls on a weekend or public holiday, we will ship on the next business day.

Are the books new or used?

Everything in the package is brand new.

What happens if my child already has the book that you sent?

If this happens we are more than happy to have you return the book as long as it is undamaged and in good condition, along with a photograph of the duplicate books (which you can send to us via email or on social media). We will then credit you $5 off of your next box. If this has happened please let us know at

Can I cancel my subscription?

While we'll miss you, we understand that things happen and you may need to cancel your subscription. To do so simply send us an email at

If you cancel a 3 month subscription before the prepaid period is over we are happy to refund you, but please note your refund will be based on a month-to-month $39 subscription. There is also a $10 administration fee.

We are located in Newcastle, NSW. We ship Australia wide.
